DESKTOP TECH I: 1 Research Circle , Niskayuna, NY
• Deskside Support Tech II Role • Support location: 1 Research Circle, Bldg, #K1, Niskayuna, NY 12309.
• Hybrid role: M-F 8AM-5PM (work from home Mondays and Fridays; onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays). No on-call.
• Top 3 required skills: Deskside IT Support, white glove customer service & Troubleshooting Dell & Mac laptops and iOS & Android mobile phones. • Experience: 3 years min. A+ certification and/or networking experience is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES: • Maintains, analyzes, and troubleshoots, computer systems (Windows 10 and MacOS), and computer peripherals on site and remotely. • Mobile phone support (iPhone and Android). • Documents, maintains, upgrades, or replaces software systems and hardware. • Imaging, configuration, and wiping of computers. • Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security, and systems groups. • Trains users, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed. • Hands and feet assistance on network connection issues; tracking network connections back to network switches. • Escalates problems and issues to a higher level of support if unable to resolve. • Represents Compucom in a professional and businesslike manner and communicates effectively with customers and associates.
IMPORTANT: This is a very fast-paced and busy environment and has a high amount of interaction with customers. This is a single technician site. Candidate must be comfortable in a demanding environment.
