Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Strong knowledge of best practices in school psychology and special education
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments
- Ability to design and implement effective interventions for diverse student populations
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families
- Experience with IEPs, 504 plans, and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) preferred
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer psychological and academic assessments to students as needed
- Develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Consult with educators and parents regarding student progress and needs
- Provide crisis intervention and support as necessary
- Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions when appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with relevant regulations
- Contribute to multidisciplinary teams to help ensure optimal learning outcomes
