Job Description
Employees can perform the critical functions of the composite's mechanic including:
\tOperate impregnating, perforating, cutting, roll form, press and curing machines, and testing equipment in the fabrication of composite materials and core details in accordance with established processes and procedures.
\tLoad, unload and operate ovens and autoclaves in the curing of parts and assemblies.
\tOperate portable repair/bonding equipment to accomplish rework, repair or change incorporation on completed assemblies = moisture removal, double vacuum debulk, overlay repairs, apply precured patches, secondary bonding, edge trimming, sanding, heat blankets, scarfing, thermal cure, and ply repair of less than 400 square inches.
\tDisassemble and prepare assemblies to accomplish rework, repair or change incorporation on completed assemblies.
\tOther directly related duties as requested and required.
\tSkills:
\tMust have composite experience in aerospace
\t3 Axis CNC machining experience
Computer skills
\tMust be able to work 1st or 2nd shift, over time, weekends as per business needs
\tMust be able to stand and work for entire shift
