Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Greenhouse Technician, where you will be involved in essential plant care and greenhouse management tasks. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the health and growth of our plants, ensuring optimal conditions within the greenhouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Diligently shoot bag in corn pollination rooms daily.
- Tassel bag and pollinate corn 1-2 times per week.
- Prep and sort plant groupings with a high level of attention to detail.
- Transfer large plants on carts to correct room locations and specific locations within a room.
- Perform routine greenhouse sanitation tasks like discarding regulated material.
- Assist with plant care tasks, such as cotton pruning.
- Drive the Tug to move plants throughout the facility.
Essential Skills
- Experience in greenhouse, horticulture, biology, plant care, or agriculture.
- Good communication skills and a high degree of self-motivation.
- Ability to work well independently and with minimal supervision, as well as in groups.
- Proficiency in driving company vehicles such as a Tug.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn internal research software.
- Capability to perform repetitive tasks, stand or sit for extended periods, and lift at least 30 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture, horticulture, plant sciences, or a related field preferred.
- Two or more years of relevant experience preferred.
- Attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Comfort working in warm, humid greenhouse conditions with year-round pollen exposure.
Work Environment
Our work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with the requirement to work 1-2 weekends or holidays every 3 months, compensated with comp days. The greenhouse environment is warm and humid, and you will be exposed to pollen year-round. We have a strong safety culture, and you will be expected to follow all safety protocols and monitor ergonomics diligently.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
