Web Developer Intern – Job Overview:

Applied Concepts has been known for its exceptional law enforcement Radar & Lidar systems for over 48 years. We're based in Richardson, TX, less than 3 miles from the UTD campus. We're taking big steps to transition over to cloud-based platforms and our team is looking for motivated Web Application Developer interns to join us for Fall 2025 and beyond.

We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled Web Application Developer interns to join our software development team (with flexible start dates); hours per week will be project-based but are negotiable in advance. This internship requires occasional availability for scheduled onsite meetings, but this is mostly a work-from-home position. The position offers a unique opportunity for students pursuing either a Bachelor's or Master's degree to gain hands-on experience in Web application development, utilizing the latest technologies and tools in the industry.


Web Developer Intern – How You'll Make an Impact:

As a Web Developer Intern, you will assist in the design and development of complex software systems with an emphasis on connected and cloud-based web applications. You will also collaborate with other developers to implement user interface designs and enhance the user experience.


Web Developer Intern – Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Familiar with web application development, including knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience in cloud development on Azure or AWS platforms
  • Expert with TCP/IP programming and communications protocol design
  • Proficiency in SQL (MySQL or MS SQL), ASP.NET, RESTful, and C#
  • Familiar with MS Visual Studio or React Native development tools
  • Basic understanding of software development principles and application design
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
