Job Summary
Milwaukee County is seeking a Desktop Support Technician I to join the Imaging and Asset Management team. This role serves as the first point of contact for IT support needs and is responsible for installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading PC hardware and related equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance. The primary focus includes PC refreshes as part of the asset lifecycle program, along with device deployment, imaging, printer support, and resolving technical issues through completion.
Responsibilities
Provide Tier 1 desktop support for hardware, software, mobile devices, printing, connectivity, and user setup.
Build, image, deploy, and refresh PCs and laptops.
Perform on-the-fly device repairs and basic troubleshooting.
Support and maintain workstation hardware, printers, and peripherals.
Manage user account setup and maintenance.
Work all service requests, incidents, and problems through resolution following ITIL practices.
Ensure high-quality end-user support for Milwaukee County employees, contractors, and vendors.
Required Skills & Experience (6 months)
Desktop support experience.
Experience deploying devices.
Ability to perform quick hardware repairs and basic troubleshooting.
Workstation, printer, and peripheral maintenance skills.
General understanding of client/server environments.
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Azure AD.
Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications.

Codeworks, LLC discloses that the anticipated hourly pay range for this position is between $15 and $18. This range is subject to change based on job-related factors, including client requirements where applicable.
