Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Grand Rapids, MI 49504
Duration: 1 Year
Shift: 2nd & 3rd Shift
Job Summary
Hands-on maintenance role responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment, ensuring maximum uptime, safety compliance, and production efficiency in a cleanroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues
• Diagnose root causes and implement corrective actions
• Respond to production line calls quickly and safely
• Maintain zero downtime through proactive equipment support
• Test machines and document performance results
• Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical manuals
• Repair or replace components using tools and equipment
• Maintain 5S standards and safe working environment
• Follow LOTO and all safety compliance procedures
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and vendors
• Document maintenance activities in system software

• Electrical troubleshooting & machine controls – 2+ years
• Pneumatic systems troubleshooting – 2+ years
• Mechanical maintenance & repair – 2+ years
• Preventive maintenance programs – 2+ years
• Reading schematics & engineering drawings – 2+ years
• Root cause analysis & problem-solving – 2+ years
Preferred Skills
• Medical device manufacturing experience – 1+ year
• Servo motors & vision systems – 1+ year
• HMI systems interaction – 1+ year
• Form Fill & Seal equipment – 1+ year
• Bar & tray seal equipment – 1+ year
• Lean Manufacturing principles – 1+ year
Technical / Functional Exposure
• Multimeter & diagnostic tools – 2+ years
• Electrical motors & control systems – 2+ years
• Pneumatic air logic systems – 2+ years
• Machining tools (lathe, milling) – 1+ year
• Maintenance software systems – 1+ year
• Excel & database tools – 1+ year
Education / Experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical certification in electrical or maintenance (preferred)
• 2+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience
