We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Documentation Specialist who will play a crucial role in supporting the building and control of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), revising documents within quality and safety files, and preparing for audits. The ideal candidate will interact with the regulatory department to review master formulas against batch orders and manage document control for all SOPs and related forms.
Responsibilities
- Support the building and control changes of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Revise documents within quality and safety files.
- Utilize Excel and other computer programs effectively.
- Prepare for and participate in audits.
- Interact with the regulatory department to review master formulas against batch orders.
- Collect and maintain required Quality and Regulatory documents from raw material and component vendors.
- Maintain a document library and tracking spreadsheet, logging documents sent, received, reviewed, and updated.
- Keep supplier and vendor contact lists current and organized in a shared-drive repository.
- Manage document control for all SOPs and related forms, including new documents and revisions, and log all updates.
- Create and provide documentation requested by Sales and Customer Service, including written statements and supplier information requests.
- Communicate document changes and requests to Quality team members.
- Monitor record retention timelines and notify leadership of upcoming document cleanups.
Essential Skills
- Experience in quality assurance and document control.
- Familiarity with batch records and SOPs.
- Experience in a GMP environment (preferably 2+ years).
- High School diploma or GED.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prefer experience in the nutraceutical, food, or other industries in quality assurance.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Strong leadership skills and sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
Work Environment
The position follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm with some flexibility. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted or up to 100 pounds with mechanical assistance, as well as standing, walking, bending, or stooping for periods of five hours or more. Candidates should have normal visual acuity and be prepared to move and examine objects at varying heights. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a growing company and gain exposure to an end-to-end manufacturing environment in a mid-size company.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
