Position Summary:The Business Data Analyst plays a critical role in bridging business needs with technical data solutions. This role involves identifying business problems, gathering and translating requirements, proposing appropriate data strategies, and ensuring delivery of trusted, auditable data assets. The analyst will support ongoing data development and governance initiatives in alignment with the organization’s Enterprise Data Strategy and broader business goals.Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand and document business rules, data needs, and functional requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including developers, architects, and analysts—to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Participate in the design and documentation of data ingestion, transformation, and consumption processes, including data flows, data models, and classification schemas.
• Ensure all requirements, use cases, and workflows are fully documented and validated through stakeholder review and audit-ready approvals.
• Maintain current-state documentation and highlight data quality issues or unresolved business logic.
• Support the development and enhancement of cloud-based data frameworks using Azure and Snowflake, ensuring alignment with enterprise data policies and compliance standards.
• Verify that delivered data solutions meet the agreed-upon business requirements and adhere to change management processes.
• Contribute actively to Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Present documentation and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Create and peer-review conceptual and physical data models in collaboration with architects and development teams.
• Champion best practices and standards for data documentation and ensure compliance with audit and regulatory needs.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Proficiency in data querying, profiling, and reporting techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or Microsoft Azure data platforms.
• Strong foundation in data modeling, transformation, and warehousing principles.
• Familiarity with data governance practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and solve data-related issues.
• Working knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.
• Prior exposure to healthcare or analytics industries is a plus, or willingness to learn.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a data-focused business analysis or data management role.
