Part Time Day or evening- 6:30am-3:00pm/ 2:30pm-11:00pm. Every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Experience based pay starting at $17/hr PLUS an additional $1 for weekends!

At Frederick Living the Personal Care – Magnolia Nurse Aide provides direct care to residents, supporting their independence and individual needs. This role ensures a safe, comfortable environment while assisting with daily living activities and collaborating with the care team.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transferring
  • Support residents in getting to and from activities and meals
  • Assist with eating and drinking, including meal and beverage selection, cueing, and hands-on feeding
  • Offer snacks and hydration to residents between meals as needed
  • Record and report residents’ eating habits to the coordinator or charge nurse
  • Encourage resident participation in leisure activities, walking programs, and social events
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and death procedures
  • Maintain resident records daily, including weights and vital signs, in accordance with Frederick Living's policies
  • Administer medications as defined by medication procedures and physicians’ orders
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents
  • Change bed linens and manage resident laundry as needed
  • Respond promptly and positively to resident requests, family inquiries, and other personnel needs
  • Follow proper procedures in emergency situations and obtain additional assistance when necessary
  • Respond to resident emergencies promptly
  • Monitor resident location and notify the Nurse Supervisor/PC Manager if a resident cannot be located
  • Assist with all assigned tours of duty
  • Abide by the organization’s code of conduct
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • CPR and First Aid certification required
  • Prior experience caring for older adults preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrates respect, integrity, compassion, and excellence
  • Commitment to person-centered care practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain positive relationships
  • Flexible schedule with willingness to work extra hours as needed
