Textile Specialist / Buyer / Purchasing Coordinator

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

\n

    \n
  • Manage purchasing activities for yarn and other raw materials
  • \n

  • Coordinate shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes
  • \n

  • Audit incoming materials and ensure inventory accuracy
  • \n

  • Support fabric transfers between facilities and subcontractors
  • \n

  • Maintain inventory records and perform cycle counts
  • \n

  • Enter costing information and support month-end close activities
  • \n

  • Work closely with quality, manufacturing, and production teams
  • \n

  • Learn textile manufacturing processes, fabric construction, and product applications
  • \n

  • Serve as a key resource for internal teams regarding fabric specifications and material requirements
  • \n

  • Support government contract requirements and material traceability
  • \n

Required Qualifications:

\n

    \n
  • 3+ years of experience in textile manufacturing, purchasing, supply chain, inventory control, planning, or related functions
  • \n

  • Understanding of textiles, fabrics, yarns, specifications, or quality processes
  • \n

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • \n

  • Hands-on mindset and willingness to work on the plant floor
  • \n

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • \n

  • Ability to work independently and make decisions
  • \n

\n

Preferred Qualifications:

\n

    \n
  • Experience as a Textile Technologist, Buyer, Planner, Purchaser, or similar role
  • \n

  • Knowledge of fabric construction and textile end-use applications
  • \n

  • Quality Control experience within a textile manufacturing environment
  • \n

  • Military or defense-related manufacturing experience
  • \n

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $75,000 - $78,000 base salary
