INTERNSHIP SUMMARY

The IT Intern is responsible for providing IT support for various IT infrastructure projects including the deployment of new devices and upgrading devices to Windows 11. The intern will also assist the Desktop Technical Support Engineer in responding to requests for IT support.

  • The internship is for 3 months (August 19 to November 14) with a weekly schedule of 18 hours. The work schedule will be 6 hours daily from 9 am to 4 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
  • The intern must work onsite at ACC’s office located in the Washington Center building at 1001 G Street NW, Suite 300W, Washington, DC 20001. The Washington Center has direct access from the Metro Center station (Red, Blue, Orange, and Silver Lines).
  • The wage rate is $17.95 per hour.

EDUCATION

High School Student or Recent High School Graduate

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Installing and updating software applications.
  • Troubleshooting basic software and hardware issues.
  • Proficiency using various versions of the Microsoft Windows operating system (10 and 11).
  • Able to perform basic problem-solving techniques on Windows platforms.
  • Knowledge of file management within the Windows environment, including folder structures, file permissions, and file extensions.
  • Experience configuring and customizing Windows settings to optimize performance and usability.

LANGUAGES

ACC seeks to hire multilingual candidates. Fluency in English is required, and a second language is preferred.
