Park Maintenance Technician (PM Weekdays)

Job DescriptionJob Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Park Maintenance Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving park facilities and amenities, ensuring they are safe, clean, and functional for park visitors. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail, be able to work independently, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on park facilities, including playground equipment, picnic tables, benches, and restroom facilities
• Maintain and repair park grounds, including mowing, trimming, and watering grass, trees, and other landscaping
• Remove litter, debris, and hazardous materials from park facilities and grounds
• Perform regular inspections of park facilities and amenities to identify any safety hazards or maintenance needs
• Coordinate with other park staff to schedule and complete maintenance projects
• Ensure park facilities and amenities are clean and ready for use by park visitors
• Provide excellent customer service and communication with park visitors

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in park maintenance or related field
• Knowledge of basic maintenance and repair techniques, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work
• Ability to operate and maintain park maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping tools
• Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy objects, work in a variety of weather conditions, and stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
