Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team in Santa Clarita, CA. This is a full-time, in-office position supporting attorneys in the defense of personal injury claims, including Transportation, Premises Liability, and Product Liability matters. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, litigation support experience, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, file, and serve electronic court filings in compliance with court rules and deadlines.
- Conduct court docket searches and monitor case developments.
- Obtain, organize, and summarize medical, employment, and other relevant records.
- Draft and respond to written discovery requests and assist attorneys with discovery management.
- Coordinate depositions, court appearances, and other litigation-related events.
- Assist in the preparation of trial documents, exhibits, and trial binders.
- Maintain accurate case calendars and monitor critical deadlines.
- Organize and manage case files, ensuring all documentation is current and properly maintained.
- Provide general litigation support to attorneys throughout all phases of case development.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree (AA) or ABA-Approved Paralegal Certificate required.
- Minimum of 2 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in the defense of personal injury matters.
- Experience handling Transportation, Premises Liability, and/or Product Liability cases preferred.
- Strong knowledge of court filing procedures and litigation processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and legal case management software.
- Experience with Juris and Forms Workflow is a plus.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
