Robotics / Mechatronics Engineer
Tarrytown, NY (Onsite)
Contract: W2 Only
Exciting opportunity for a talented Mechatronics / Robotics Engineer to join the advanced R&D team at Siemens Healthineers and contribute to the development of next-generation diagnostic instruments and automation platforms.
In this role, you will:
🔹 Build system-level mechatronics & robotics models (MBSE/MBD)
🔹 Develop simulations, controls, and design-optimization workflows
🔹 Work on precision motion, fluidic, and thermal subsystems
🔹 Integrate sensing, actuation, motion control & robotics technologies
🔹 Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Systems & Firmware teams
🔹 Drive concept-to-prototype execution and participate in design reviews
What We're Looking For:
✔ Strong fundamentals in dynamics, controls, sensors/actuators, signal processing
✔ Expertise in MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape, Stateflow
✔ Experience with robotics, mechatronics, and system modeling
✔ CAD familiarity (Siemens NX & Simcenter Motion – huge plus)
✔ Programming experience (C/C++/Python)
✔ Background in medical devices, robotics, aerospace, automation, or precision systems
🎓 Education: MS/PhD preferred (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Biomedical, Engineering Physics)
