Job Title:Unarmed Security Guard / Security Officer
Location: Aurora, CO, DTC
Employment Type: Part-Time
Schedule: 8-hour and 12-hour shifts available (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required)
Pay Range: $20.00 $23.00 per hour
Position Summary
Kaipran Security is seeking dependable and professional Unarmed Security Guards to support security operations at assigned client facilities. Officers are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through access control, patrols, alarm response, and strict compliance with all security procedures. Officers must remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout their entire shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain possession of required credentials at all times, including security badge and company-issued identification
- Respond promptly to calls from alarm monitoring companies, staff, and site leadership
- Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols as assigned
- Perform and document required on-site security check-ins
- Respond appropriately to alarms, incidents, and suspicious activity in accordance with established procedures
- Arm and disarm alarm systems at the beginning and end of shifts as required
- Remain vigilant and alert for the duration of each shift
- Complete reports, logs, and incident documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times
- Comply with all federal, state, local, and site-specific security policies and procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid government-issued photo identification
- Ability to pass background and drug screenings
- Ability to work part-time schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to speak, read, and understand English
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in security, military, or law enforcement
- Knowledge of alarm systems and access control procedures
- First Aid / CPR / AED certification or ability to obtain certification
- Valid Denver Guard License or ability to obtain one
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to conduct routine patrols, including stairs and outdoor areas
- Ability to respond quickly to alarms or security incidents
Work Environment
- Offices, facilities, and construction sites
- Combination of indoor and outdoor environments
- Exposure to varying weather conditions during patrols or movement between buildings
