Paralegal Administrative Assistant
A well-established law firm in Northern Virginia is seeking a Paralegal Administrative Assistant to support attorneys and paralegals within its Community Association practice. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing exceptional client service and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to attorneys and paralegals.
- Assist with opening, maintaining, and closing case files.
- Prepare, proofread, scan, and organize legal documents and correspondence.
- Coordinate court filings and assist with document delivery and retrieval when needed.
- Enter and maintain case information in the firm's case management system.
- Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and third-party contacts.
- Manage electronic and physical filing systems to ensure records remain organized and up to date.
- Assist with billing-related tasks, including time entry and proper coding.
- Provide occasional reception desk coverage and general office support.
- Handle additional projects and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in a professional office environment, preferably within a law firm.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office technology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable transportation for occasional courthouse visits.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
