Job Title: M&A Associate
Location: New York, NY
Salary: $310,000+ (commensurate with class year and experience)
The Opportunity
This is a top-ranked M&A practice with a genuinely global transaction base, advising buyers, sellers, and advisers on complex deals across multiple sectors. The group appears consistently in Chambers and Law360's leading M&A and private equity rankings. From your first day, you will carry real responsibility on live deals, not a supporting role while you wait for seniority.
What You Will Do
- Draft and negotiate acquisition agreements, equity documents, and related transaction documentation
- Run key workstreams across the full deal lifecycle, from due diligence through closing
- Operate as a core member of deal teams, with direct client exposure from the outset
- Advise on the legal, technical, and commercial dimensions of complex M&A and private equity transactions
What You Bring (Must-Haves)
- 4-7 years of M&A associate experience at a recognized law firm
- Hands-on drafting and negotiating experience on complex M&A and private equity transactions
- Experience owning deal workstreams, not just supporting them
- A team-oriented working style
