Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Analyst to support corporate tax operations for an organization based in Huntersville, North Carolina. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage indirect and income tax activities with accuracy while collaborating across accounting and finance functions. The role will contribute to tax compliance, reporting, and asset-related support in a fast-paced business environment.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review corporate tax workpapers, filings, and supporting schedules to help maintain timely and accurate compliance.
• Manage sales and use tax processes, including data analysis, reconciliation activities, and issue resolution across transactions.
• Utilize Vertex Sales & Use Tax tools to support tax calculations, reporting accuracy, and ongoing compliance efforts.
• Assist with corporate income tax reporting by gathering financial data, organizing documentation, and validating tax-related information.
• Maintain fixed asset tax records and support depreciation-related analysis for reporting and compliance purposes.
• Partner with accounting and finance teams to research tax questions, clarify variances, and improve the reliability of tax data.
• Support audits and tax inquiries by compiling requested documentation and responding to information needs in a timely manner.• Experience in corporate tax, with working knowledge of compliance and reporting responsibilities.
• Background in corporate income tax and sales tax within a business or corporate environment.
• Hands-on familiarity with Vertex Sales & Use Tax or similar tax technology platforms.
• Understanding of fixed assets and their impact on tax reporting and documentation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to review financial information for completeness and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Excel and other common accounting or tax support tools.
• Ability to manage deadlines, organize multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
