Wanship is seeking an experienced mechanic in our North Salt Lake terminal. We have been in business since 1989. We are looking for dedicated, hard-working mechanics who take pride and ownership in their work. Our excellent team members will make you feel like part of the family! All trucks are late-model Kenworth and Peterbilt. All trailers are Great Dane with Thermo-King reefers—the best of the best!
Multiple shifts available!
Monday through Friday- Flexible Schedule, 4- 10's, 5-8's
Primary Job Functions
Inspect and complete preventative maintenance and inspections on company equipment to comply with DOT regulations.
Complete mechanical repairs.
Repair and complete required preventive maintenance of shop equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe work area that is compliant with OSHA and company regulations and policies.
Positive attitude and work well with others.
Great attendance is required.
Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
- Strong automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge
- Proficiency with hand tools and vehicle maintenance
- Experience with transmissions, air brakes, and alignment
- Familiarity with hydraulics, suspension systems, and HVAC
- Premium skills in fabrication and heavy equipment operation
- Relevant experience in customer service and service technician roles
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and tire service tasks
