Job DescriptionPosition: Field Service Technician I

Reports to: Unconventional Operations Manager

Department: Operations

Facility: Gilmore

Location: Midland/Odessa, TX

Classification: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

Installs, repairs, and services Unconventional equipment, such as valves, relief valves, Pressure relief skids (Safeguard Pro), etc. Works with customers to plan installation of rental assets and advises and may participate in on-site installations.

  • Converses with customer or supervisor to plan and assist installation of equipment on customer
  • Reads and studies blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures and execute
  • Installs or oversees installation of equipment according to Gilmore's specifications and customer
  • Ability to operate system to demonstrate equipment and to analyze malfunctions.
  • Interprets maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools.
  • Instructs and directs workers in servicing and repairing equipment.
  • Instructs customers on operation of equipment.
  • Consults with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance.
  • May supervise workers in testing, tuning, and adjusting equipment to obtain optimum operating performance.
  • May advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements.
  • Able to operate Telehandler 10k forklift safely and effectively.
  • Perform other work-related tasks, as assigned.

Education/Experience:

Required

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred

  • Trade or Technical School focusing on Maintenance (Hydraulics, Electrical)
  • Minimum 3 years Hydraulic Fracturing Experience
    • Mechanical and hydraulic
    • Strong verbal and written communication
    • Technical problem solving and mechanical / electrical
    • Proficient with MS Office programs.
    • Ability to work autonomously.
    • Superior organizational skills, strong attention to detail, excellent time management and committed to meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrates professional work characteristics, high initiative, dependability, and
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and/or overtime if
  • Local to Midland/Odessa area

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical Dexterity required; ability to ascend/descend ladders; ability to stand, walk, bend, sit, lift, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, pull, and move objects for 8 to 12 hours per
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50
  • Speak/hear and use specific vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust
  • Capability of properly using standard office equipment including a computer with a
  • Ability to wear and utilize Personal Protective Safety Equipment (PPE). Required equipment includes steel toed shoes, safety glasses/goggles. Additional PPE may be required, e.g. safety harness, Fire Retardant Clothing (FRC), hard hats, or other as
  • Ability to travel (land and air) domestically in the US and periodically stay at field locations for long periods of time as the business
  • Ability to work in field locations that may not be climate controlled and outdoor air quality (dust) may be present.

Work Environment:

  • Work conditions will vary and may include working up to twelve (12) hours per day or more in environments with exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises.
