About the Role:
We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Homeowner Community industry. As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of our facilities and equipment. Your main goal will be to maintain a safe and efficient work environment for our employees and customers. You will work closely with our maintenance team to identify and resolve any issues that may arise.
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; no degree required.

Basic knowledge of general maintenance and repair practices.

Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

Strong time management, communication, and customer service skills.

Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in carpentry or a related trade
- Experience working in the construction industry
- Knowledge of HVAC systems
- Experience with electrical and mechanical systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:

Complete daily assigned work orders related to building and grounds maintenance.

Perform routine maintenance using hand and power tools, including carpentry, basic electrical, plumbing, and painting tasks.

Operate light to heavy equipment (e.g., tractors, snow plows, utility vehicles) to remove debris and maintain property access.

Perform upkeep of common areas, including interiors and community swimming pools.

Identify, report, and help resolve unusual or hazardous conditions.

Respond to emergency weather events, including safe snow and ice removal.

Maintain equipment and ensure tools and vehicles are stored and in good working condition.

Log daily activities and communicate progress with supervisors.

Represent the department professionally when interacting with residents, staff, and vendors.

Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills:
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will use your carpentry skills to perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, and plumbing. You will also use your problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues with facilities and equipment. Your ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics will be essential in conducting inspections and responding to maintenance requests. Additionally, your strong communication and interpersonal skills will be valuable in collaborating with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
