About the Role
We're hiring a Store Manager who's ready to lead with purpose. You'll own the full performance of the store — the sales, the team, the operations, and the customer experience. This is a hands-on leadership role in a specialty retail environment where what you do actually matters.
The people who shop with us are police officers, firefighters, and paramedics. The gear we put in their hands goes with them on the job. As our Store Manager, you'll build a team that takes that seriously — and you'll create a store experience that reflects the professionalism of the community we serve. This is retail leadership with real meaning, and a real opportunity to contribute to something bigger than a sales target.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing store team focused on product knowledge and customer service
- Drive sales performance and consistently meet or exceed monthly revenue targets
- Manage inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and backroom operations to 98%+ precision
- Maintain payroll within budget and control shrink below company thresholds
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience for public safety professionals — resolve escalations same day, monitor and respond to reviews within 24 hours
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, vendor requirements, and safety regulations
- Execute weekly merchandising plans and optimize floor layout for traffic and demand
- Recruit, onboard, and retain strong team members; develop at least one promotable employee per year
- Maintain POS and NetSuite system integrity and ensure operational audits pass at 95%+
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of retail leadership experience with a proven track record of hitting sales targets
- Strong people manager — you hire well, coach consistently, and hold the team accountable
- Operationally disciplined — inventory, compliance, and process aren't afterthoughts for you
- Direct communicator who takes ownership and acts without waiting to be told
- Experience in tactical, uniform, equipment, or specialty retail is a strong plus
- Familiarity with NetSuite or a similar ERP/POS system preferred
