Job DescriptionField Diesel Diagnostics TechnicianA day in the field

Start your shift reviewing your work orders, then head out to service tractors and trailers across our Fleet Services network. You plug into a unit with JPRO and OEM software on a Windows laptop, trace an electrical fault with a multimeter, swap a failed component, and verify the fix. Between calls, you complete preventive maintenance services and perform DOT inspections to FMCSA standards. It is hands-on work—sometimes kneeling under a trailer or reaching into tight spaces—and youre comfortable lifting or pulling 75+ lbs, standing or lying for extended periods, and moving with the flexibility the job demands.

What you19ll do

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on tractors and trailers using JPRO, OEM diagnostic applications, multimeters, and Windows-based tools
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on fleet equipment
  • Complete DOT inspections in accordance with FMCSA requirements
  • Operate safely and efficiently while meeting customer and team expectations

What you bring

  • Valid driver19s license; ability to obtain a Class B license is preferred
  • Technical/advanced degree or 2+ years of equivalent maintenance experience
  • Hands-on skill with diagnostic platforms (JPRO, OEM software), electrical testing tools, and Windows laptops
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset, teamwork, and clear written/verbal communication
  • Willingness to complete an on-site evaluation with recommended training

Compensation & details

  • Pay: $30/hr
  • Schedule: Various schedules available
  • Sign-On Bonus: $2,000 paid within the first 90 days
