Eckler Cleaning Services provides residential, commercial, organizational, and specialized cleanings services to Hendricks County, West Indianapolis, and the surrounding areas. Our mission is to be the best pet-friendly cleaning service in Indiana. As part of this mission, we donate a clean to Misty Eyes Animal shelter every month.


Job Purpose:

The Professional Cleaner – Apartment Turnover Specialist will clean, sanitize, and prepare apartments for their next resident. The types of cleaning tasks performed will fall outside of normal maintenance cleaning. The position is also designed to be a steppingstone into a leadership role through mentorship.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Use the science behind cleaning to prepare apartments for their next occupant.
  • Follow company efficiency practices to work better both individually and as a team.
  • Set and refill supplies.
  • Clean all surfaces including all doors, door frames, baseboards, trim, light switches, knobs, blinds, ceiling fans, exhaust fans, registers, vents, windows, mirrors, etc.
  • Deep clean and sanitize all appliances, cupboards, cabinets, drawers, counters, sinks, tubs, showers, and toilets.
  • Remove marks and any appliques from walls and floors.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and shampoo all floors as applicable.
  • Replace light bulbs.
  • Sweep all room corners for cobwebs.
  • Clean upholstery and other furniture of furnished apartments, including shampooing as applicable.
  • Clean balconies and other outside private areas.
  • Ensure remove of all belongings from previous occupant.
  • Ensure all trash and supplies is removed from apartment upon final walkthrough.
  • Vacuum maintenance.
  • Inform leadership of any accidents that may occur while cleaning.
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of cleaning safety and best practices.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Duties and responsibilities may change, and new ones may be added, at any time with or without advanced notice.

Requirements:

Skills & Qualifications

  • At least 18 years old.
  • Have a valid government issued driver's license and reliable transportation to reach all required job sites.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Able to pass a background check.
  • Detail-oriented and thorough.
  • Able to work as a team and individually.
  • Sufficiently able to read, write, and understand cleaning product labels and instructions.
  • Excellent time management ability.
  • Willing to clean, sanitize and maintain all areas of residential apartment spaces such as toilets, sinks, showers, appliances, etc.

Physical Requirements:

  • The workers must be able to perform light work of exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • The worker must be able to kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, lift, grasp, feel and perform repetitive motions daily.
  • The worker must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time daily.

Working Conditions:

  • The worker performs services in indoor environmental conditions. Some outdoor environmental conditions may apply.
  • The worker is exposed to cleaning chemicals daily.
  • The worker is exposed to fumes, odors, dusts, and mists daily.
