Summary Description
Responsible for assisting in all phases of the design, programming and documentation of building automation systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Assists with Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) as-builts as required.
- Assists in creating/editing customer graphics, schedules, reports and Human- Machine Interface (HMI) related programs.
- Assists in job design, job submittals and controller programming.
- Assists in other job documentation and archiving tasks.
- Assembles and tests front-end workstations for customers.
- Progresses in learning all engineering tasks on projects including: project management; design; sequence of operations; controller software; front end hardware set up; all HMI software creation and set up; system functional testing; customer training; and job commissioning.
Job Qualifications
Skills/Educational Requirements:
- High School degree with some College education
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
- Some knowledge of drafting software (preferably AutoCAD and VISIO)
- Some programming experience
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting project deadlines
- Detail oriented
- Excellent human relations skills
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)
- Operating systems (Most recent windows operating systems)
- In-house standards for AutoCAD and VISIO
- Schneider hardware and system design
- Schneider Electric programming language
- Schneider Electric BAS control system
- HVAC and ATC control systems
- Valve and Damper selection and sizing and end device selection
- Training to be provided as needed for job tasks
Physical Requirements:
- Working 40 hours/week, scheduled in 8 to 10 hour shifts
- Vision adequate for daily and consistent computer use and reading
- Sitting 6 to 8 hours/day
- Lifting weights of 0 to 30 lbs. from floor to above shoulders
- Repetitive use of hands for writing, typing, data entry
