Primary role objective and job summary:

• Responsible for providing technical over-site and support on assignments as well as executing goals that meet assigned service orders and project objectives. This role is also responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting and the testing of all assigned complex Audio/Video systems and control programs.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Provide complex technical support for client A/V related service issues.
• Assist project managers and engineers by providing support and guidance with system design when necessary.
• Manage vendor relationships by addressing product updates, product problems, and complex troubleshooting issues.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of current and new technologies.
• Assist with training and mentoring internal staff on new products.
• Test integrated A/V systems and perform troubleshooting when needed.
• Test point to point functionality of systems.
• Field installation of control programs, upload and download capability.
• Test and troubleshoot control programs.
• Write code for DSP systems.
• Load, test, and troubleshoot code for DSP systems.
• Make minor programming changes under the direction of a design engineer or programmer.
• Fine tune audio video systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Train and instructs clients and key stake holders on the proper use of A/V hardware and software.
• Responsible for reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and flowcharts.
• Assists CAD designer with system changes, updates, and redlines.
• Responsible for accurate tracking on time sheets, service order tickets, final job documentation and inventory items when needed.
• Compliance with company and client safety programs.
• Other duties as required or assigned by company management.

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 4 years experience in commercial A/V installation preferred.
• Possess a two-year electronics degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Must possess Avixa CTS certification working towards Avixa CTS-I certification.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Course preferred.
• Hold multiple current A/V vendor certifications e.g., Crestron, Qsys, Extron, Cisco etc.
• Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets CoitCom’s driving privileges standards
• Must also have reliable transportation to and from job-sites and company offices.
