Associate/Senior Attorney - Litigation

This role is hybrid with the expectation to be in office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (Wednesday's are remote)

We are an elite, trial tested litigation firm built to win the most complex and high stakes cases. Our teams bring deep courtroom experience across commercial, regulatory, white collar, and appellate matters, pairing rigorous strategy with a relentless commitment to our clients goals. Agile, collaborative, and confident in any forum, we thrive on difficult challenges and deliver advocacy that is precise, pragmatic, and results driven.

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Associate or Senior Attorney to join our litigation practice. The successful candidate will support partners and senior litigators in all phases of complex civil and criminal litigation, including case intake, investigation, motion practice, discovery, depositions, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation. This role offers exposure to a diverse docket with opportunities to work on patent disputes, antitrust matters, and white-collar criminal defense. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, client-focused advocate with strong legal research, writing, and courtroom skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and advance a varied caseload under partner supervision, including drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery responses.
  • Conduct factual and legal research and prepare clear, persuasive memoranda and litigation strategies.
  • Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and support trial preparation and courtroom presentations.
  • Collaborate closely with partners, co-counsel, and clients to develop case theory, settlement strategies, and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate e-discovery workflows, review documents, prepare privilege logs, and work with vendors and forensic experts as needed.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates and paralegals, review work product, and delegate tasks appropriately.
  • Participate in client meetings, calls, and presentations, maintaining strong client relationships and providing regular case updates.
  • Manage deadlines and docketing for multiple matters, ensuring high-quality work product and timely billing.
  • Support internal business development efforts, including drafting pitches, writing practice materials, and presenting on relevant legal developments.

Qualifications

  • Experience in patent litigation, antitrust matters, or white-collar criminal defense. Candidates with a technical degree or patent-bar registration are especially encouraged to apply.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to practice in the relevant state(s).
  • 2+ years of litigation experience at a law firm or in-house litigation practice; experience handling motion practice, discovery, and depositions is required.
  • Excellent legal research, analytical reasoning, and legal writing skills, with demonstrable experience drafting appellate or trial-level briefs.
  • Proven oral advocacy skills and comfort in the courtroom; trial or evidentiary hearing experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters and meet strict deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Client-service orientation with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly to clients and colleagues.
  • Familiarity with e-discovery platforms and litigation support tools; proficiency with case management and document review software.
  • Preferred: prior clerkship, law review or moot court experience, and a record of academic and professional achievement.
