About the Role:
The Residential Counselor plays a crucial role in providing support and guidance to individuals in a residential care setting. This position is focused on fostering a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the emotional and psychological well-being of residents. The counselor will work closely with clients to develop personalized care plans that address their unique needs and goals. By facilitating daily activities and therapeutic interventions, the Residential Counselor helps residents build essential life skills and achieve greater independence. Ultimately, the major end result of this role is to empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives while receiving the necessary support for their mental health and personal development.
Available Shift Schedule:
Sun: 8 AM to 4 PM
Mon: 4 PM to 10 PM
Tues: 8 AM to 4 PM
Wed: 8 AM to 4 PM
Thurs: 4 PM to 10 PM
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and supervision to residents in a residential care facility.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the treatment team.
- Facilitate group and individual activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and personal growth.
- Monitor residents' progress and document observations in accordance with established protocols.
- Serve as a liaison between residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a healthcare or social services setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a residential counseling role.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.
Skills:
- Strong communication abilities

- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
