Quality Management Systems Specialist

1st Shift, Monday – Friday

Salaried, $90 – $120k DOE

Responsibility:

  • This position reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager, indirectly to the President.
  • To successfully implement and maintain the Quality System under ISO 9001/IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO/IEC 17025.
  • Ensure that the Quality System is established, implemented, and maintained within the Standard.
  • Report on the performance of the Quality System to Management for review and improvement action.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that customer requirements are addressed and satisfied.
  • Coordinates the metrics reporting in operations meetings.
  • Educate management on how the Company complies with the Standard, and how the Standard benefits every area of the business.
  • Be available to consult with any employee on Quality System matters (i.e., Environmental and Lab).
  • Work with the Central File System to develop and maintain records and documents. Also maintain a library of Standards for employee use.
  • Advise on the document control and revision process.
  • Raise issues to appropriate personnel to ensure proper implementation, maintenance, and improvement of any systems.
  • Be the company liaison to the Registrar.
  • Conduct and coordinate annual CQI audits.
  • Participates in the Corrective Action Review Board to evaluate all CAR responses for effectiveness.
  • Coordinate customer audits.
  • Acts as a facilitator and monitors the progress of internal audits.
  • Evaluates internal audit corrective actions and follows up on them.
  • Reports on internal audit findings to management.
  • Assists in supplier development/audits.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science technical degree. Master’s technical degree preferred.
  • 8-10 years of Quality Management experience.
  • Good analytical and decision-making ability and good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.
  • IATF Lead Auditor Certification preferred.
