Step into a dynamic full-time contract opportunity supporting students’ growth and learning as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This assignment covers a 12-week maternity leave, working onsite with a diverse caseload of approximately 50 students in grades PreK through 4th. The role is integral to fostering communication skills and educational success for young learners during the spring semester.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a current SLP State License and valid Educator Certification
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous experience providing speech therapy services in a school-based setting preferred
- Proficiency working with early elementary (PreK-4th) student populations
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and school staff
- Strong assessment, therapy planning, and progress documentation skills
- Commitment to ethical practice and student-centered care
Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech and language services to students based on IEP requirements
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations as needed for new referrals
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs and goals
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with general and special education staff to support student inclusion and academic achievement
- Communicate progress and recommendations effectively to families and related service teams
