GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repairs of the irrigation system and the mixing and applications of all pesticides.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Repair water line breaks and perform preventative maintenance to the system.
• Observe sprinklers to ensure uniform distribution of water to all areas.
• Report any irregularities in the course’s turf quality.
• Mix and load pesticides properly.
• Spread/spray pesticides correctly.
• Perform simple math configuring pesticide application rates.
• Read and record all pesticide applications.
• Assist in the daily operations of the golf course.
• Willingness to stay late or arrive early to perform the above duties in a timely fashion.
• If applying fungicides or pesticides, chemical spraying certification is required.
• Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma or GED
• Former golf course maintenance experience a plus.
• Pesticide knowledge helpful.
• Plumbing and electrical experience preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
REQUIRED LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES
• Valid TN Driver’s License
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Walking and standing for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time (more with assistance)
