Key Responsibilities:

Assist clients with personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene.

Support clients with mobility and transfers (bed ↔ wheelchair/car, etc.).

Serve and assist with meals / feed clients as needed; ensure dietary requirements are met.

Perform light housekeeping duties: laundry, bed-making, cleaning, organizing living spaces.

Provide companionship and emotional support: engage in friendly conversation, assist with social activities and errands.

Monitor the client’s condition and report any significant changes (physical, emotional, cognitive) to the supervisor or health care professionals.

Assist with medication reminders and follow care-plan instructions.

Transport or accompany clients to appointments, errands, or outings as needed (if part of assignment).

Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, follow agency policies and client’s individualized care plan.

Demonstrate reliability by being punctual, maintaining scheduled shifts, and being ready to serve clients with consistency and professionalism.
Requirements / Screening Criteria:

Valid CNA certification licensed in Maryland (or equivalent as required).

Must be reliable, responsible, and able to demonstrate good work history.

Own a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance (if driving required).

Must pass a background check, drug screen and provide recent TB test or clear result.

Proof of auto insurance (if driving clients or making home visits).
-
Proof of liability insurance or coverage (agency may provide or require you to carry).

Ability to travel to clients’ homes in Anne Arundel & Baltimore Counties.

Flexible availability: mornings, evenings, weekends, possibly overnight shifts.

Excellent interpersonal skills, empathy, patience, and ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and our team.
