Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for aspects of network administration including:
- Servers, backups, desktop systems, communications hardware/software and office systems.
- Provide systems administration includes backups, security management, user account management, e-mail.
- Systems, office systems and applications support if needed.
- Lead the efforts to update the company’s infrastructure to the latest technologies. Activities include vulnerability management, patching operating systems, upgrading of hardware and software.
- Tier 2/3 support for servers, desktops, printers, and applications.
- Design, develop, test, and implement IT systems to further business objectives.
- Participate in team meetings; provide input on intelligent solutions to improve efficiency.
- Provide data analytics to show how the environment is performing.
- Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server operating systems, including installation, patch management, and performance tuning.
- Implement and manage Active Directory/Azure Active Directory, including user and group administration, Group Policy, and domain controllers.
- Design, configure, and maintain virtualized environments utilizing VMware technologies.
- Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure
- Design, configure, and maintain audio visual environments
- Project management of work efforts for internal projects and work done by third party vendors
- Triage, process, communicate, escalate, and resolve all assigned tickets, or escalated tickets through the IT helpdesk ticketing system.
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
- Maintain compliance with Quality System procedures and company policies
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required
- 5+ years of related experience required.
- Strong experience supporting Microsoft environments including O365 administration.
- Experience supporting non-Microsoft environments preferred
- Experience supporting cloud environments (specifically AWS) preferred
- Strong networking background REQUIRED, specifically Cisco, Meraki preferred
- Strong familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft Server Environments
- Experience supporting ERP systems required, QAD experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Exceptional interpersonal, presentation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to be results-oriented and a continuous learner.
- Ability to multi-task and quickly switch between multiple streams of work.
- The ability to pick up projects mid-stream, be a self-starter, and require minimal supervision.
- Strong work ethic and highly driven.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Able to work well with teams and individuals at all levels
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
- Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
Compensation:
We pay competitively. Base salary range is $113,000 - $120,000. Other paid compensation and benefits may be available.
