Job DescriptionLHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an IT Operations Manager in St. Louis, MO. This role establishes standards and direction for secure, resilient, and compliant infrastructure services while leading the evolution of Microsoft-based identity, endpoint, security, and information governance platforms.

Title: IT Operations Manager
Type: Direct Hire/Permanent
Location: St. Louis, MO
Schedule: Monday-Friday; Standard hours of operation; HYBRID

Compensation will vary upon experience

  • Tier 1: $100,000 - $115,000
  • Tier 2: $120,000 - $140,000
  • Tier 3: $150,000+++

Job Description:

  • Define and execute a multi-year infrastructure and security roadmap; manage vendors, MSSPs, and cross-functional project delivery.
  • Lead and develop the infrastructure team, setting priorities and providing executive level reporting on risks, performance, and initiatives.
  • Oversee identity and device management using Microsoft Entra ID and Intune, including MFA, Conditional Access, privileged access, and endpoint compliance.
  • Direct security operations across Microsoft Defender and Microsoft 365, coordinating monitoring, incident response, and threat mitigation.
  • Manage data governance and compliance initiatives.
  • Own enterprise infrastructure platforms, including networking, data center systems, backup and recovery, and modernization initiatives such as email and file migrations.
  • Provide direct leadership and performance oversight for infrastructure staff, including coaching, development, and management of contractors or third-party partners as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to lead the design and delivery of secure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure solutions.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience supporting infrastructure engineering and enterprise IT operations.
  • 3+ years leading technical teams or managing infrastructure functions preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Advanced expertise across datacenter technologies, virtualization platforms, enterprise networking, and cloud-based identity and security frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience executing platform modernization efforts, including Exchange migrations, hybrid cloud deployments, and file share modernization.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Entra ID, Defender, Endpoint, Cloud Apps, Office etc.
  • Experience evaluating and optimizing Microsoft E3/E5 licensing to enhance security and compliance capabilities preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 security, compliance, and identity services.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives, shifting priorities, and tight deadlines in fast-paced environments.

Pay Details: $120,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
