FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
General Overview: Under general direction from the Warranty Manager, and in accordance with applicable policies and procedures, the role is responsible for ensuring all returns are processed efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for incoming product returns that are submitted for warranty claims.
- Disposition return authorization
- Verify all required documents are included with the product
- Verify product within warranty
- Verify product has warrantable defect
- Match product to receipt and to return authorization
- Process return authorization in system
- Record product data
- Record shipping data
- Report issues with return authorization
- Record product data in database
- Responsible for the cardboard recycling/bundling machine operations
- Responsible for product destruction
- Goal is to process all returns within 24 hours
- Assist in other facility departments as requested.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Education Required: Duties require a high school diploma or equivalent with some experience in warranty or customer service.
- Knowledge of baseball equipment is preferred.
- Experience with software programs (Microsoft Office and JDE)
- Must be detail orientated with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to effectively manage time in order to handle large peaks in work volume.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Working Conditions: Physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards. Minimal physical effort required; standing or seated with the freedom of movement on a regular basis, handling of light materials. Ability to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis. Travel as needed and/or required by essential job functions.
