LeafSpring Schools is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Afterschool Teacher to join our team! This position will be 2-6/6:30pm Monday-Friday with opportunities for more hours during school breaks/summer.

Key Responsibilities
- Support daily program routines including creative activities, snack, and outdoor play
- Supervise and actively participate with children during activities, games, and free play
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized program environment aligned with state licensing regulations
- Foster independence, teamwork, and positive peer interactions using positive guidance strategies
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a welcoming, enriching afterschool environment
Qualifications
- MUST MEET DRIVING REQUIREMENTS: Over 21, driving for 5 or more years, good driving record
- Previous experience working with children in afterschool programs, summer camps, child care, recreation, or youth development
- Understanding of child development principles and developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)
- Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic about working with young children
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to multitask, follow program structure, and adapt to children’s needs
- High school diploma or GED required
