Job Summary
The Database Administrator (Advanced) is responsible for supporting enterprise database environments to ensure application architectures, data dictionaries, and database schemas align with organizational standards. This role supports the design, development, optimization, and maintenance of database and data warehouse solutions across multiple platforms and computing environments. The DBA collaborates with technical teams to develop and maintain a robust data architecture that supports business and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities

Support enterprise database environments to ensure compliance with data and architectural standards.

Assist in the design, development, modification, and optimization of database schemas.

Plan, design, implement, and support database structures across multiple platforms.

Perform daily database administration and operational support activities.
-
Monitor database performance and conduct tuning activities to ensure optimal system performance.
-
Develop and maintain database administration procedures and technical documentation.
-
Perform SQL code reviews and support best practices for database development.
-
Support data warehousing and GIS database environments as required.
-
Assist with training and mentoring technical staff.

Participate in infrastructure planning, implementation, and disaster recovery support.

Perform additional database or infrastructure-related tasks as assigned.
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or

Equivalent professional experience.
Experience Requirements
-
Minimum of 15 years of combined experience in database administration across enterprise environments, including:
-
DB2 for z/OS
-
Microsoft SQL Server (2008 R2, 2012, or newer)
-
Oracle (10g and above)
-

Experience supporting integrated enterprise database infrastructures is preferred.
-
Experience with large-scale financial or enterprise application environments is a plus.
