Job Description

This position has complete responsibility for bakery production. This includes baking, frying, and decorating. Each area has its own shift lead. The overnight assistant manager has overall responsibility for quality, consistency, production efficiency, cleanliness, and policy enforcement. The right person for this position will have a strong sense of culture, ownership, accountability, and people skills. This is a hands-on position where you will be involved with your team in daily production.

This overnight position is responsible to ensure that all Lehi Bakery customers have a wonderful experience every morning with fresh, consistent, and quality products they enjoy and will come back for, time-and-time again. Everything we do focuses on serving our customers, the whole purpose of our business.

Responsibilities

Production

  • Oversee and be involved with production in all areas of operation
  • Ensure consistent production of quality products
  • Able to multi-task under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to adjust production timing quickly and think on your feet
  • Able to transfer, add, and adjust production numbers without mistakes

Policy and Accountability

  • Ensure Production employees are following bakery policies, starting with you as the Assistant Manager
  • Establish and maintain a culture of accountability
  • Take ownership of all aspects of your departments’ operations

Cleaning

  • Establish and maintain a culture of cleanliness and organization

Training

  • Create and maintain a culture of ongoing improvement through training

Scheduling

  • Assistant Manager is expected to work major sales days, holidays and other days as necessary for unusual bakery operations
  • Assistant Manager is expected to work Saturdays. Saturdays, by far, are the bakery’s biggest day. We approach it as an all-hands-on deck day

HR

  • Responsible to assist manager with training of new employees

Qualifications

Required:

-Minimum 3 years' experience in bakery industry

-Minimum 2 years of manager/supervisor experience

-Able to demonstrate through current or past positions a high standard of ownership and accountability

-Must provide 3 work and 2 personal references when applying

Preferred:

-1-3 years' experience in a production facility

-More experience than requested in all four areas listed under required. Most specifically related to bakery production experience and manager/supervisory experience.
