About the Position
We are hiring an expert FOIA Analyst for on-site support at a federal agency. The successful candidate will bring advanced technical skills and proven FOIA experience to a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. If you’re ready to make a difference in public service, apply now!
The duties of this position will be performed on-site at a government facility in Washington, DC (intermittent telework available).
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and process FOIA requests, applying expert knowledge of FOIA law and exemptions.
- Prepare, remediate, and review MS Word and Adobe documents for accessibility, ensuring compliance with Section 508.
- Resolve accessibility errors and proactively minimize accessibility warnings in electronic forms.
- Track and manage FOIA casework using electronic FOIA/e-discovery software.
- Draft written responses, reports, and correspondence as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent
- At least three years of experience in FOIA or similar analytical/administrative roles
- Expert-level certifications in MS Word and Adobe Acrobat
- Strong working knowledge of Section 508 requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a federal background check
