About the Role:
As a Cook with Envive Healthcare of Anderson, you will be responsible for preparing meals, snacks, and desserts in accordance with our posted menu schedule. You will ensure that all special diets and dietary concerns are followed, and that meals are served in a palatable and presentable manner. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitized work environment, including washing pots and pans, and adhering to health code requirements for food and beverage storage and hot/cold holding temperatures.
Responsibilities:

Prepare meals, snacks, and desserts in accordance with the posted menu schedule

Ensure that all special diets and dietary concerns are followed

Serve meals that are palatable and presentable

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work environment

Estimate and prepare food supplies to meet serving portions

Maintain a safe, clean, and respectable work environment

Attend and participate in continuing education programs
Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must be interested in geriatrics, be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Knowledgeable of dietary techniques and procedures

Able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and/or 50 pounds occasionally
