The Shipping and Receiving Associate plays a crucial role in managing the flow of goods in and out of a warehouse or distribution center. This position ensures timely, accurate processing of shipments and deliveries, maintains inventory accuracy, and supports logistical operations to keep supply chain processes running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company standards
- Load and unload trucks and containers using appropriate equipment
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory movements
- Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to manage scheduling and workflow
- Report damaged or missing items to management promptly
- Follow safety and compliance guidelines in all shipping and receiving activities
