Echocardiology Supervisor

Take the lead in delivering exceptional cardiovascular care. As Echocardiology Supervisor, you’ll oversee daily operations of the Cardiology Department, ensuring smooth workflow, staff development, and high-quality patient care. You’ll guide your team, manage schedules, support recruitment and onboarding, and serve as a technical expert on echocardiography equipment and procedures. This role combines leadership, clinical excellence, and quality improvement to make a real impact on patient outcomes.

What You’ll Do:
• Supervise and coordinate daily department operations in collaboration with the Manager of Cardiovascular Services/Nurse Manager
• Lead recruitment, orientation, competency assessments, and performance reviews
• Ensure adherence to quality improvement programs and clinical protocols
• Serve as a technical resource for equipment, procedures, and staff training
• Perform duties of a Registered Echocardiographer as needed

Required Qualifications:
• Completion of an AMA-accredited Echocardiography program (≥1 year)
• National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS) OR national certification from CCI or ARRT upon hire
• BLS – American Heart Association
• 2 years recent full-time experience in echocardiography
• 1 year experience in an acute care hospital setting

Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree in a related healthcare field or equivalent credentials
• Membership in a professional organization (SDMS, SVT, AIUM, ASE)
• Recent supervisory or management experience
