Job DescriptionJob description: We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance CMM Technician with strong expertise in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to support precision manufacturing operations. This role is critical in ensuring product compliance with engineering drawings and industry standards, including ASME Y14.5-2018. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), strong blueprint interpretation skills, and a solid understanding of tolerance analysis within aerospace, automotive, or other high-precision manufacturing environments. Duties/Responsibilities:
- CMM programming.
- Upkeep of equipment.
- Training/Overseeing the operation of CMM’s.
- Serving as a leader in the quality department.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree or technical certification in Quality, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of CMM operation and programming experience
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5-2018).
- Experience performing dimensional inspections in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in high-precision manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Familiarity with ISO quality standards.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC).
