Position Summary: The Front Desk Rereceptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This role supports patient check‑in, manages multi‑line phone calls, verifies and updates patient and insurance information, schedules appointments, and assists with overall front office operations to ensure a welcoming, efficient, and patient‑centered environment.

In this full-time position, you will play an essential role, being the first FOA employee patients come into contact with when visiting our clinics. It is important for every patient to feel seen, heard, and cared for.

You will responsible for ensuring all aspects of the check-in & check-out process are handled in an organized and efficient manner including collecting co-pays and patient balances, preparing paperwork, while providing excellent customer service and helping ensure smooth clinic flow. This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, thrives in a team environment, and is looking for long-term growth in orthopedics.

Compensation

$16.00 – $17.00 per hour
Compensation is based on experience, certification, and relevant clinical background.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare the front desk area for clinic opening
  • Greet patients warmly and assist with check‑in procedures
  • Provide intake tablets or forms and assist patients as needed
  • Verify photo ID and insurance cards; update records accurately
  • Ensure insurance authorizations and benefit verifications are current
  • Answer and route incoming calls promptly and professionally
  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments
  • Monitor patient flow and communicate delays to staff and patients
  • Collect co‑pays and patient balances per office policy
  • Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You Need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Strong communication skills and a professional presence

Bonus if You Have:

  • Two years of experience in a medical office or clinic setting (preferred)
  • Familiarity with insurance authorizations and benefit verifications (preferred)
  • Experience in orthopaedics, clinics, or a high-volume practice
  • Athena EMR experience
  • Experience in orthopedics or another specialty clinic
