Job Description

A highly regarded, established law firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Corporate/Business Transactional Attorney to join its team. This role is ideal for a dedicated legal professional who excels in complex corporate matters and is looking for a firm that values work-life balance, diversity, and professional growth.

The Role and Requirements

The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of experience focused on business and corporate transactions. Key areas of expertise should include:

  • Forming limited liability companies and partnerships.

  • Negotiating and drafting complex buy-sell agreements.

  • Managing entity conversions.

  • Preparing and negotiating asset purchase agreements.

Experience drafting and negotiating real estate transactional documents (such as leases, purchase and sale agreements, ground leases, and easement agreements) is a plus, but not a mandatory requirement for this position.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive Salary: Compensation for associates averages about $180,000, with the final salary based on years of practice and experience.

  • Bonus Potential: Attorneys are eligible for annual performance-based bonuses in addition to annual discretionary and billable hour bonuses.

  • Work-Life Balance: The firm supports a hybrid work arrangement option and provides an annual telecommute budget.

  • Reasonable Billable Hour Requirement: The annual billable hour expectation is 1850.

  • Comprehensive Benefits: Includes competitive health insurance, a 401(k) with a partial match, and a budget for continuing legal education and conferences to support business development goals.

  • Pro Bono Support: Associates receive billable credit for pro bono work annually.

Firm Culture

This firm is deeply committed to a culture of inclusion and support for our attorneys. New associates benefit from a mentor program to ease their transition. Our robust diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives include:

  • Mentor Circles: A structured program to help attorneys navigate the firm and provide connection opportunities.

  • Education and Engagement: Periodic training sessions and a civic engagement program connecting attorneys with community groups.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented transactional attorney to join a firm that offers sophisticated work, a supportive environment, and exceptional compensation.

Interested candidates are encouraged to apply by submitting their resume and cover letter for confidential consideration.
