Role Overview The Lube Technician is a vital member of the service team, responsible for performing high-quality vehicle maintenance with a focus on speed, precision, and safety. This entry-to-mid-level role is perfect for a detail-oriented individual looking to grow their career in automotive technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Oil & Filter Services: Drain oil and replace filters on a wide variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Fluid Maintenance: Check and top off all essential fluids, including coolant, transmission, brake, and power steering fluids.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform multi-point safety inspections, including checking tire pressure, tread depth, and battery health.
- Component Replacement: Replace air filters, cabin filters, wiper blades, and light bulbs as needed.
- Documentation: Accurately record all services performed and noted vehicle deficiencies in the shop management system.
- Shop Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace; properly dispose of hazardous materials (used oil, filters, etc.).
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- License: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of automotive systems and comfortable using hand/power tools.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
