Contract Type: Contract

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $65 - $45.5 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Provide evidence-based physical therapy interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional performance
  • Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, and safety precautions
  • Collaborate with the rehabilitation team, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License
  • Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification (if required by facility)
  • SNF experience preferred but not required
  • Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills

Education

  • Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

  • Physical Therapy knowledge
  • Patient care and rehabilitation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Clinical skills in a skilled nursing setting
