Starting pay: $23 - $25/hr DOE
Our client is searching for a quality-oriented and reliable technician to assist with repairing new vehicles that have sustained cosmetic damage or defects during transport or while on-site. This role does not involve repairs from on-road accidents or traditional collision work.
The ideal candidate takes pride in delivering high-quality work and enjoys working in a clean, team-oriented, and safety-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs according to OEM specifications and approved estimates.
- Address cosmetic or damage caused during transport, handling, or factory delivery.
- Perform filing, sanding, grinding, masking, prepping, and cleaning tasks.
- Mix and match paint to OEM color specs and apply with precision.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Use required PPE at all times (respirator, boots, gloves, safety glasses, etc.).
- Verify and install correct parts per estimate.
- Notify management of any additional repair needs or issues that may affect quality or completion timelines.
- Assist teammates and support broader repair and inspection efforts.
- Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Valid driver’s license required.
- At least 6 months experience in body repair, paint prep, or refinishing (automotive or related).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
- Ability to follow OEM guidelines, safety procedures, and job instructions.
- A collaborative attitude and team-focused work ethic.
- ASE Certifications in auto body repair, painting, or estimating a strong plus.
- Painting and Refinishing Certification for Collision Repair a plus.
- Structural Analysis and Damage Repair Certification for Collision Repair a plus.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
