What You'll Do

Lawn & Landscape Maintenance

• Mow lawns using commercial equipment.
• String trim around buildings, trees, fences, signs, and landscape beds.
• Edge sidewalks, driveways, curbs, and other designated areas.
• Blow grass clippings and debris from sidewalks, driveways, patios, parking lots, and other hard surfaces.
• Remove weeds from landscape beds as needed.
• Assist with shrub trimming, pruning, and seasonal cleanup services.
• Remove trash and debris to keep properties clean and presentable.

Equipment Operation & Care

• Safely operate commercial zero-turn mowers, push mowers, string trimmers, edgers, backpack blowers, and hedge trimmers.
• Operate chainsaws only when authorized.
• Inspect equipment daily and promptly report damage or mechanical issues.
• Clean and maintain equipment and vehicles.
• Refuel equipment as needed and help prepare tools and vehicles for the next workday.

Property Care & Quality Control

• Follow company quality standards on every property.
• Take pride in delivering clean, consistent, professional results.
• Look for irrigation leaks, drainage problems, turf disease, pest activity, and property damage, and report concerns to the appropriate team leader.
• Ensure gates are closed and secured before leaving a property.
• Work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Safety & Customer Service

• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and high-visibility apparel when required.
• Use proper lifting techniques and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Immediately report accidents, injuries, damaged equipment, and unsafe conditions.
• Treat customers, coworkers, and customer property with respect.
• Maintain a professional appearance and a positive attitude.
• Direct customer questions or concerns to the Crew Leader.

Start the Day Ready to Work

• Arrive on time, prepared, and ready for the day's assignments.
• Participate in the daily crew meeting.
• Inspect equipment and vehicles and load necessary materials and supplies.
• Help the crew leave the shop on schedule.

Work as a Team

• Follow the Crew Leader's instructions.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently without sacrificing quality.
• Support coworkers and help the crew stay on schedule.
• Take responsibility for your work and maintain a strong work ethic.
• Treat every property as if it were your own.

Qualifications

Required

• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and changing weather conditions.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to walk, bend, kneel, squat, stand, and perform physical work for extended periods.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to follow directions.

Preferred

• Previous lawn maintenance or landscaping experience.
• Experience operating commercial lawn care equipment.
• Experience pulling trailers.
• Experience working as part of a landscaping or maintenance crew.

Previous experience is a plus, but we're especially interested in people who are dependable, motivated, coachable, and willing to learn.
